Alright guys! I know it's been a long time since I've updated, but I need to update about something really serious. I don't know how much this has gotten into the national news, but it's all over the local news. There was a plane that was flying over the Smokey Mountains... The thing with this is that the Navy instructor was my cousin's husband. So needless to say, my family is on pins and needles. Tammy (my cousin) and Jason (her husband) are expecting their first baby in July. We never thought that Tammy would get married... she was so picky about her guys. And then she met and married Jason, always insisting that her dogs were her kids and she didn't think that she would actually have kids. Then at Christmas, she told everyone the good news... she and Jason were expecting a baby. Jason was set to start Dental School at UF in August. They were so happy... now this has thrown us all for a loop.
Guys, please pray for him. We really don't know anymore then the News Journal says. The government is being the same with the family as they are with the paper. All we can do is pray and keep our eyes on the news......

I have had a pretty good week so far... I got a new car (Well, it's a 1998 Neon in spotless shape, so it's new to me), VA Tech won their game, Noles won their game. I'm happy. I have to go and get new insurance for my car... bye for now...

01:07 pm - I'm leaving on a jet plane....
Okay... so maybe not a jet plane...more like a GMC truck. :-)
Gracie and I will be going on our first road trip this Thursday. Where you ask... to VA. We are going to visit Dave's family. Too bad Dave can't go. We are going to Smithfield, where Dave was raised, and Charlottesville, where Dave's grandparents live. And to the DMB people out there... home of the Dave Matthews Band. I'm actually pretty excited. I've never been that far north before. It should make for an interesting time.
Also, I thought I'd mention this so some more people would be praying for this family. A friend of mine, Brian, lost his seven year old brother last Monday. While his six year old brother is in ICU. They were walking across the street coming back from Disneyland, the boys first trip there, when a car drove though at 40 mph and hit them. Brian's uncle and cousin were both his, also. Those of you who know me well know that Brian and I dated for the better part of four years. I had flown out to California the year after Brian graduated and was lucky enough to spend time with both of the boys. Both boys are two of the sweetest kids you would ever know. So please pray for Brian and his family. It's a huge loss and really they are having to be extra strong because they still have a little one fighting for his life.
on that note, I have a little one to pack for. Toiday it's packing for her. Tomorrow it's packing for me and getting a haircut.

Oh yeah... At my last doctor's appointment on Tuesday, I was 2 cm. dialated, 60% effaced, and she was at a -1 station... so slowly but surely. We go in again on Monday... keep your fingers crossed....

Dave and I are over here at my mom's house... (we've been spending a lot of time at his place... so I thought it would be nice to have dinner and hang out over here today...) Still no Gracie.. but her due date isn't for another few days. We had a minor scare yesterday. My blood pressure jumped to 153/100.... VERY HIGH! We went to the hospital and they hooked both Gracie and I to monitors. (Blood pressure for me... fetal monitor for her) My blood pressure went back down to normal and her heart beat and movements were steady and strong. All the girls at work are taking bets now as to when I'll have her... not the new day is Monday (It was last Thursday... LOL).
More work news... One of the servers from work died on Thursday night. It is crazy. Rain and driving drunk just don't mix. Like driving drunk by itself is a good thing or something.... Whatever. But the rain and fog we had on Thursday night just didn't make it any better. So one of the girls died (she hadn't been there for but a week or so), her best friend ended up in critical condition but is at home now, and Clint (my cousin's boyfriend's brother... might as well be my cousin...) didn't suffer any major injuries... but he had to see his girlfriend being zipped up in a body bag. I feel bad for him. BUt they shouldn't have been drunk driving. *sigh* I feel so badly for them. :-(
Anyways... All I have to say is that I have SIX DAYS UNTIL GRACE MACKENZIE REESE'S DUE DATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to see her face. I think that is the thing we are most excited about.... actually seeing her. I mean, I know her moods, I know the times she is awake and when she sleeps. (She isn't much of a night person... thank God... but she is a very earlier riser.) I just can't wait to have her in my arms. :-) Hopefully it'll be before Thanksgiving so that I can show her off... I just can't wait for that... :-D

I personally think she is the most beautiful little grey blob on the face of the planet! :-) And sooner then later she will be the most beautiful little girl on the planet. (But of course I'm going to say that. She's my little girl LOL)

My best friend's girlfriend sucks...and she's trying to ruin my birthday! Yeah for bitches!! Eva is Evil..I think I'm going to make a bumper sticker that says that...
She's trying to make Dave feel guilty about stuff that's in the past. And it's tearing his and I's friendship apart... I don't know what to do. Dave's the one person who's ever really seen the real me. I mean, he knows me better then anyone. And he knew that when he told me what he told me, I would feel bad. Now I don't really even want to go to the concert...because I'm scared of making someone feel "uncomfortable." Eva's winning...but I can't let that happen. I hate her. She is dating my best friend. I'm fine with that. Though I love him dearly....we weren't meant to be as a couple. So we have our current relationships. I'm VERY happy in mine...and love spending the time with my new Dave. He knows about the past stuff between Dave and I, and was directly affected by some of the things that happened. Yet, he is still excited about meeting the guy that is my best friend and gotten me through so much. He understands how much our friendship means to me. Why can't she understand how much it means to him. She wants him to cut me out of his life completely...that is never going to happen...he's told her that. I may be his ex-girlfriend... But we are so much more to each other then just ex's. We were meant to be best friends...we just found that out after we dated for about three years. I don't know what to do...I'm not even sure I really want to go to this concert anymore. :-( Something I was so excited about...I now wish was months away... :-(
Wanna know what to get me for my birthday...a drama free one. Don't see that happening if I stick to the original plan...anyone have any suggestions??? I don't wanna lose my best friend... :-(

I hate Hotmail...it seems there is always something wrong with it. Now it won't even let me onto the server...at least usually they give me a too busy screen...now it's just giving me a done screen that is white...DAMN THEM! I need to check my damn mail...oh well

Where will I be in, oh, 14 days??? Oh, that would TAMPA!!! FOR MY DMB CONCERT!!!! Oh so excited. It can't come sooner. I seriously can't wait. I'm so looking forward to this. I get to see all of the my DMB friends...along with my best friend Dave...and I'll be with my boyfriend Dave LOL. And I get to visit with my aunt. It's gonna be good stuff.

It's 17 days until my birthday and the DMB show in Tampa!!!!
I'm just a little excited, can you tell? I can't freaking WAIT! DMB with my other two favorite Daves. I'm so excited! I love my Daves...they rock my socks! ;-)
Oh yeah..not to mention the fact that I get to see all of my other Dave buddies who I haven't seen since September! That's gonna be fun too! Yeah, for road trips...

What circut are you in: Gulf Coast Color Guard Circuit
What is your favorite piece of equpitment: Sabre
Favorite color flag: Pink ones...all of my practice flags are pink
Favorite toss: Hold the flag at the very tip with the pole horizontal to the ground...sling it around your back while holding the flag still...then grab the pole as it comes around and toss a horizontal...That or something that my guard has lovingly called "The Rusty" (in honor of Rusty Bertles...a few people on here have had him as an instructor...so I'm sure you know the toss) It's hard to explain, but it's pretty.
What can you toss on a rifle: A solid five...almost to a six now
Sabre: I'm at about a ten now
Flag: Double and half when using a the speed spin wind up
What is your favorite colorguard: Pace High School and Florida State University Marching Chiefs Colorguard...I'm bias...I love my own guards... :-D

What do you think you need to work on the most: Dance...I've taken YEARS of dance..and I'm still clumsy as hell
Can you be graceful: That's a big no...I used to ALWAYS trip on the floor mat...it's a talent of mine....
If your show is dramatic do you cry: Nope...I've never really been in a dramatic show...more intense ones
Do you always smile when your supposed to: I smile all the time...even when I'm NOT suppose to LOL
Can you pick up work from another guard just by watching: Yep...I've been doing it a long time...plus I teach, so I tend to pick up on stuff REALLY quickly since I started that...
When you hear someone with YOUR winterguard song what do you do: Luckily we always had strange songs that no one ever picked up on...No one has ever really had our winterguard song...we never choose popular songs...
Are you a leader: I'm an instructor now...pretty sure that makes me "Head Leader" with the exception of the band director...and he asks me what I think about different things involving the guard...never really TELLS me what to do...
Can you teach: Yes...and I do :-D
Have you ever taugh a whole colorguard: I'm an instructor...it's what you do when you can't perform anymore LOL
Could you handle a world ind guard: I'm sure I could have...but I never got the chance...Oh well....it will remain on my I wish I could have lists

Do you like your instructors: LOL...I am an instructor...so I hope the girls like me...But overall I really did love the instructors I had....And I respect them alot more now that I'm in the position they are in
Do you spin allllll the time: Yeah...more so at the beginning of winterguard and fall guard...because I'm making up work. And after winterguard shows, to change work...
If you got to choose your winterguard song what would you choose: Next year I'm going to use Dave Matthews Band song "Everyday." I'm half obsessed with the band and I've been toying with the idea for a show to it for a while....
Marching season or winter season: Winterguard...I get to be more creative...the girls usually are better too...But I like seeing the freshman grow as much as they do during marching season...that's always fun to watch

Are you a good dancer: Not really...
If your colorguard had the gym for 12 hours on a sunday with a competition on monday, would you want a 12 hour practice?: It depends on how the guard is performing the show...if they have a good grip on it, I'd only keep them part of the time...if they needed the work, bring on the 12 hours...I've done it before...
